ST. THOMAS BECKET
St. Thomas Becket was born in 1118, in London, England. After
his parents died, he went to work in an office. As a young
man, he loved hunting and other sports.

ST. ANYSIA
St. Anysia lived in Thessalonica toward the end of the second
century. Thessalonica was an ancient city to which St. Paul
himself had first brought the faith of Jesus. .

ST. SYLVESTER
St. Sylvester dates back to early Christian times, to the
reign of Constantine, in fact. Sylvester I became pope in
314 and he reigned until his death in 335-twenty-one years.

BASIL AND ST. GREGORY NAZIANZEN
Sts.
Basil and Gregory were born in Asia Minor in the year 330.
This area is modern-day Turkey. Basil's grandmother, father,
mother, two brothers and a sister are all saints. Gregory's
parents are St. Nonna and St. Gregory the Elder. Basil and
Gregory met and became great friends at school in Athens,
Greece.
